Britta Gene Eberly Glass is a mixed media artist who favors bright colors, a sense of whimsy, and a style that runs along the edges of the realistic and the fantastic. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts, Painting, and Drawing, with a minor in Art History, from the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Britta has won awards for both her visual art and her poetry.

In addition to creating her own art, Britta accepts commissions. She enjoys doing commission pieces for the way they “get her out of her normal art box.” Her past commissions include a large painted piece for Steel Dynamics, Inc.

Drawing on her love of children’s literature and her previous experience as a bookseller, Britta is a children’s book enthusiast who dreams of one day seeing her illustrations between the pages of books for young people.

Britta lives in Indianapolis with her husband Kyle and their pets, who are all named after artists, of course: Claude the dog, plus cats Toulouse and Vincent. A third, tiny human member of their family will arrive in August 2014.
